Nielsen Funerals work closely with local and experienced florists to arrange the fresh floral tribute in your choice of flowers and colours to be laid on the top of the casket, these flowers are a tribute from all of the family and provide a beautiful focal point at the funeral service.

The choice of flowers is usually discussed at the funeral arrangement meeting and we can then order them on your behalf or alternatively you can speak and visit with the florist directly where they can show you a large range of fresh flowers. 

Following a burial service and with permission of the family usually the flowers are taken off the casket and laid on the top of the grave.

Following a cremation service the family may wish for the flowers to stay with the coffin and be cremated, alternatively the flowers can be returned to the family to be kept and perhaps pressed, these flowers can also be displayed at the wake and if you wish people can be invited to take a stem from the sheath as a keepsake.

Nielsen Funerals can also arrange individual flowers, rose petals, rosemary sprigs or something else of your choice to be placed on the coffin as part of the funeral service or at the end of a graveside service as people pay their last respects.

Nielsen Funerals can also arrange extra bowl arrangements for the church or funeral venue and can assist with the ordering of additional floral tributes from other family members or friends.
